Give Thanks in all circumstances...

for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. Thessalonians 5:18

Happy November and the beginning of the busiest time of the year (at least for me). During the hustle and bustle of  cooking, shopping, wrapping, volunteering, decorating, care-taking, ect. I find it calming to take a minute or two each day to give thanks.

This practice re-focuses me on the importance of my job as a mother, wife, and human, not as a interior-chef-gift wrapping assistant. It also fills my heart with the strength I need to make it through the season, knowing the God has abundantly  provided for me and my family and that He always will.

When you do what God has called you to do, the work never seems to be to hard. I would love for you to join me for 24 Days of Giving Thanks. Start a journal, write it on a post-it, on your phone, or just take a minute and pray about 1 thing you are thankful for each day.Share your thoughts here if you would like. I will share mine with you each day as encouragement (let's face it a reminder) to be thankful and give praise!

24 Days of Giving Thanks Day one: Today I am thankful that God has given me the opportunity to work part-time. This has been a huge decision in my families life and struggle for me personally, I am used to providing more in the financial department. Today thought my son got to come to work with me because he was off school and my job is Before and After school care, or child care when there is no school. This job has blessed me with time for my son and great co-wokers!
